Breast cancer touches many lives but thanks to research and generous charitable support great strides are being made in awareness, early diagnosis and treatment. Tenerife has its chance to join The Walk Of Life on Sunday 12 December through the tourist southern zones of Adeje and Arona, last year 2,000 people took part and raised 8,400 euros, lets see if we can top that.
As always The Walk Of Life will be a celebration full of colour, music and fun, show your support by wearing something pink. Join in the fun with a 10 am gathering at Salytien in Playa de las Americas, ready for the 11 am start as the walkers head the 3.5 kms into Los Cristianos, finishing at Plaza del Pescadora by the old beach and port. The early arrivals will be well looked after with comperes Katy Kennedy and Carlos leading the entertainment in English and Spanish along with music and dance. At the finish there will be more celebrations with cheer leaders and a blues and jazz singer.

The Walk Of Life will draw together all ages, and communities behind a common cause. We all take a lot for granted living in Tenerife, a brisk Sunday morning walk with good company is just one small way of giving something back.
