Remember the name Imperial Tai-Pan, you will hear it mentioned whenever people talk about fine dining upstairs at the Safari Centre in Playa de Las Americas. If you have been to the Slow Boat Teppanyaki you will already know its reputation for high quality food, service, and ambience. You can be assured that under its new name of Imperial Tai-Pan the food is still as tasty and innovative as ever.
At the launch banquet the selection of 17 of their 70 new dishes on offer was met with resounding approval. The sushi was delicious and imaginative from the Unabi-smoked eel on a bed of rice to the 88 Dragon Salmon Roll in light omlette layers.
The Spice Salt & Peppercorn Chicken Wings were vibrant and tingling thanks to the 5 spice and Crispy Shanghai Balls were soft and succulent as the garlic and herbs complemented the finely minced pork.
With a choice of the grandly designed interior or the open topped terrace tables it’s still a perfect setting for families and friends to share their love of good food. Fine wines and champagne add to any special meal and served with efficiency and a smile they certainly helped to officially welcome the name Imperial Tai-Pan to Venture Restaurants portfolio of good food.
Watching a culinary creation sizzle into life on the Teppanyaki table adds to the anticipation of the flavour. The Sirloin Steak Rolls and Yakatori Chicken Thigh in a sweet mirin based marinade lived up to their promise.
