In its 18th year the Hotel Jardin Tropical Golf Tournament attracted a bumper entry of 148 players at Abama Golf on 2 June. In a thrilling finale the first category winners were Santiago Garcia Campos and Juan Porcuna with 47 shots over the days play in the stableford pairs format. Competition was keen in all three categories, the second group was headed by Josefa Pujol and Cesar Fernandez de Caleya on 52 shots. That left the third category to battle it out before providing winners Ana and Werner Schwebke on 46 shots. As always there were plenty of other prizes to aim for like nearest the pin and after the tournament a gale presentation dinner was the perfect setting for a prize raffle and those all important trophies. For everyone who competed it was a rewarding days golf and a chance to meet old friends and meet new ones.
