This week Sands Beach Resort in Lanzarote were rewarded for their innovative approach to marketing and their commitment to promoting Lanzarote as a high level sporting destination at the Distinguidos del Turismo 2012 Awards.
At the prestigious even attended by the President of the Canary Islands, Paulino Rivero, Sands Beach Resort’s General Director, Juan Carlos Albuixech was presented with the Distinguido del Turismo 2012 award by Lanzarote’s Vice-President, Joaquín Caraballo.
The hotel has gained a reputation for working with, sponsoring and promoting athletes at a local, national and international level to help spread the word of Lanzarote’s unrivalled potential as a year-round training destination for athletes across many different sports.
Other winners on the night included Jet2holidays, Noche Blanca de Teguise and Los Diabletes de Teguise.
