An exciting new format and the top ladies golf players on the Ladies European Tour, Golf Las Americas is the place to be from 9th to 12th June. Ladies golf means big money, big interest and high profile media coverage so this Tenerife Ladies Match Play will showcase all that is good about Tenerife.
A field of 32 professional players will include the top 30 from the European rankings plus 2 invited guests, they will play in a knock out formula on 10th and 11th June to leave the best 8 players to fight it out on the final day in a stroke play competition over 18 holes, all chasing lucrative prize money. Local golfers will get a look in with a Pro Am tournament preceding the main event on 9th June.
Later in the year Europe will play the United States in the Solheim Cup, the players in the Tenerife Ladies Match Play will be keen to stake their claims for a team place. In recent years the Tenerife Ladies Open has proved the popularity of the ladies game and British players have always been up with the front runners. Tenerife Tourism are promoting this event knowing it will give a big boost to the image of Tenerife beyond our shores.
